Erica
Bird – President
Erica is a research physicist presently engaged in mothering
four young children. Originally from Montreal and more recently
from Toronto, Erica is delighted with Saskatoon, her new home.
She has visited children’s museums all over North America
and very excited to be involved with the Children’s Discovery
Museum, Canada’s tenth children’s museum. |

Genevieve
Dessommes Denny –
Vice-President
Genevieve relocated to Saskatoon from New
Orleans in 2006 and, with her husband, founded Pelican Properties,
their family business. Genevieve was a practicing attorney
in the U.S. and now divides her time between the office and
caring for her young son. She loves Saskatoon and is excited
to be part of the effort to bring a children's museum to Saskatchewan. |

Erica Wright

Treasurer
Erica is a librarian with a passion for early
literacy and learning. This passion naturally intersected with
the Children’s Discovery Museum and its rich and diverse
learning environment. Erica has called Saskatoon her home for
the majority of her life and is excited to do what it takes
to help the Museum provide engaging learning and play opportunities
for the children of Saskatoon. |

Alana
Ferguson –
Secretary
Alana moved to Saskatoon in 2002 and was excited to join the
museum in the fall of 2009. She brings experience as a gymnastics
coach and a background in sociology and health research. Alana
hopes her skills in grant facilitation will help bring in extra
funding to ensure the museum can continue to provide Saskatoon's
children with a meaningful and fun learning experience.

Theresa
Johnston
Having raised three children and now enjoying
her grandchildren, and having taught in both school systems
in Saskatoon, Theresa has always had an interest in children’s
education and growth. She is very excited to be actively involved
with the Children’s Discovery Museum. Theresa is a partner
in a communications business in Saskatoon. |

Mouna Karam
Mouna is currently enjoying raising three
children with her husband. She was a practicing lawyer, and
graduated recently from the University of Saskatchewan, USCAD
Program / Photography. She has a great passion for children,
and as a result, she started her own photography studio "Artography".
For many years, Mouna was a leader with children’s organizations
such as Girl Guides. She is now very enthusiastic about being
involved in the growth of the Children's Discovery Museum. |

Jennifer Lester
– Director
Jennifer is a "jack of all trades" management consultant
and doting mother of one. She has lived her entire life in
Saskatoon and knows firsthand how needed the Children's Discovery
Museum is for families in Saskatchewan. She is thrilled to
join the team and build on the hard work that has already
been accomplished. She can't wait to see the permanent home
become a reality.
